April Vacation 2017

Have a great day of fun with horses at Ironstone Farm during school vacation week. It’s a great way for kids 7 to 16 to try out horseback riding and get a feel for what summer camp at Ironstone is like.

One-day programs – $120 per person
Target is groups of 4 to 6 per day; ages 7-16


1. Choose your day

  • Monday, April 17 , 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 18 , 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 19 , 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 20 , 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

2. Choose your preferred activity

  • Art
  • Music
  • Sewing

*Shoes or boots with low heel required to ride. Riders also must wear long pants.

Morning with the horses
Learning about horses through grooming and other unmounted horsemanship activities
Enjoy art, music or sewing
Kids can play music or complete and bring home a sewing or art project in our Arts & Education Center
Participants are asked to bring their own lunch (and a snack)
Afternoon ride
Ride horses at our 19-acre horse farm, in our outdoor ring, on our trails and/or inside
our large indoor arena, depending on the weather

IMPORTANT NOTES: Completed paperwork must accompany full payment for these programs. All riders must complete an emergency release form. Weight limits apply to all horses assigned in the riding programs (maximum weight is 225 pounds).

Independent riders with a diagnosis must also provide a Physician Approval Form with the registration packet. Please call the office for this form, or download it.
