At Ironstone Farm, recreational riding has been a popular activity for people of nearly all ages for more than 40 years. Participants learn “from the ground up” how to care for, communicate with and ride horses in a safe and encouraging environment.

Ironstone Farm is open year round Monday through Saturday. People can sign up for eight- or nine-week riding blocks throughout the year. Recreational riding is available to people of a variety of abilities, for ages 6 and older.

Seasonal horse shows
Small horse shows are held where the fun is stressed and the stress is removed, helping riders build a solid foundation in a sport that can become a life-long pleasure. The horse shows are open to people who have been taking riding lessons at Ironstone.

Summer Camp at Ironstone Farm is offered from June through August in separate morning, afternoon or all-day sessions for children and teens of all abilities. Camp provides a variety of horse- and farm-related activities in a wholesome environment that creates lasting friendships and a sold foundation in horsemanship.
Camp is open to riders ages 7 to 16, and sells out.
