We are excited to announce Kris Biber as our volunteer of the month! Kris joined our team exactly one year ago last September, and has been a tour de force of kindness, compassion, and commitment from the very start! Her adaptability shines as she effortlessly moves between our programs, collaborating with clients, instructors, and our ponies. Her presence brings a calming influence, making both horses and humans feel relaxed and engaged during every lesson. We are so grateful to have her as a cherished member of our team!

How did you discover Ironstone Farm?
I spent years searching for a local volunteer opportunity that included the disability community. Just last spring/summer, Ironstone Farm appeared in an email from Volunteer Match. I could not believe my luck!
What is your fondest memory you have from volunteering?
My favorite memories so far have been seeing riders progress week to week. To share the joy as a rider becomes more verbal or overcomes the anxiety of being on the horse is wonderful.
What does Ironstone Farm mean to you?
Challenge Unlimited offers opportunities for everyone to improve the quality of their life by getting stronger, building confidence, and finding joy with the help of some beautiful horses and pretty amazing people.
Thank you, Kris, for exemplifying our mission and values in all you do!
