Book Our Retreat Center

Ironstone Farm’s Veterans Experience began in April 2013. The program, created by two university professors with input from a former Navy Seal, is free to all veterans and supported by organizations such as Home Base, Operation Hat Trick, and Run for the Troops.

Our equine-assisted programs help increase self-esteem, build trust, and reduce feelings of anxiety and isolation for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder. Leaders of top veteran organizations, such as Home Base Veteran & Family Care, as well as participants themselves, call their experience “life-changing” and “life-saving.”

Our original on-property farmhouse has been converted into a 12-bedroom, 6-bath Retreat Center! Our center serves as a home-away-from-home during retreats, allowing veterans and their families to stay at the farm overnight. Spending the night at our retreat center creates a more powerful, immersive experience for participants as they experience the hope and healing our horses provide.
