Meet Pat: November 2022 Volunteer of the Month

Nov 9, 2022

Congrats to our Volunteer of the Month, Pat Donahue! Since 2016, Pat has dedicated herself to helping Ironstone Farm flourish in every way possible. From weekly lessons to weekend retreats, she is there to help wherever she can. One of our staff members said it best: “Whenever we need a hand, she comes running!” We love Pat for her positive attitude, and her ability to connect on a personal level with every client. We are so grateful to have such an all-star on our volunteer team!

How did you discover Ironstone Farm?

My daughter took riding lessons at Ironstone in grade school so I was familiar with the farm but didn’t have time to volunteer until I retired a few years ago.

What is your fondest memory you have from volunteering?

Witnessing the connection with a horse that clients make in such a short period of time.

What does Ironstone Farm mean to you?

Ironstone Farm is a bit of an oasis from busy lives, where the horses provide much-needed therapy to everyone who comes down the driveway – including the volunteers!

Thank you, Pat, for exemplifying our mission and values in all you do!
