The Ironstone Derby 5K & Kentucky Derby Party is a USATF-certified charity race/walk, followed by a Kentucky Derby party and barbecue at our nonprofit horse farm. Kids love the stickhorse fun run!

There's a lot of fun at the party, including at the derby-hat competition. Men, woman and kids compete for a great prize.
It wouldn't be a derby party without the option of a mint julep or other beverage! Souvenier Ironstone Derby glasses will be available.
Runners have the option of adding a Texas Roadhouse meal of ribs, chicken, 2 sides, salad and bread. Or come just for the meal and party!
Ironstone Farm's Golden Aces drill team will perform a free outdoor show - a horse-and-rider routine set to music.
Choose you horse in our 50/50 raffle and cheer it on to victory. One person who picks the winning horse will receive half the charity pot!
In 2019, people could take pictures with the latest Boston Red Sox World Series trophy. We'll cook up something special for 2020 too!
Shuttle buses for Derby-goers start to run the short route from the race-day parking lot at Thermo Fisher in Ames Business Park, Tewksbury, less than a mile from Ironstone Farm, down Route 133
Bar service with beer, win and mint juleps is available; the band Cilantro: the duo begins playing; games and our Derby 50/50 raffle open - all in our large, indoor arena, with some additional games outdoors
The kids stick-horse fun run includes a stickhorse kids can keep, hotdog meal, and hat. The fun run distance varies based on the age of the participants in each heat.

For those who choose it, Texas Roadhouse barbecue service begins. Barbecue meal ($25, or much less the earlier you sign up) includes ribs, barbecue chicken, two sides, salad and bread. We include a small dessert and bottled water as well. Beer, wine, mint juleps and soda are available at the bar.
Kids meal includes hot dog, sides, juice or bottled water and a small dessert.
Ironstone Derby 5K Run/Walk to support our nonprofit programs from children with special needs and others. The race starts on site, travels a loop on the Andover streets around the farm, and ends back at Ironstone.
The start and finish line is at under-construction retreat center for veterans. Ironstone served 500 clients a week, using 200 volunteers a week.

Our party-goers compete to see who has the most attractive, attention-getting, original derby hat. Top adult winner goes home with a bubbly prize. (indoor arena)

The Kentucky Derby horse race is shown live on two big screens as our crowd cheers for their favorite horses. Be part of the fun!
The party has to end sometime, and we expect the final bus to depart for the parking lot at 7 p.m.
